Anyone who has come into contact with a snake might be terrified, and the mere thought of a king cobra can send shivers down the spine. But don't we all know how intrigued Twitter is by reptile encounters? That's why business magnate Sridhar Vembu's post has gone viral. Hold your breath as he tweets two photos of a 12-foot king cobra that visited him recently. In one of the photos, we can see Mr Vembu, the CEO and founder of Zoho Corporation, and a group of forest rangers holding the snake.

“A rare 12 foot long King Cobra paid us a visit,” he captioned it. “Our amazing local forest guards arrived and caught it for release in the neighbouring hills,” he continued. Here's a picture of me trying to reach out and touch it. “Have a wonderful day!”

Mr Vembu had moved to Mathalamparai, a village near Tenkasi in the gorgeous Western Ghats of southern Tamil Nadu, late in 2019, just before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out.

Within a few hours of posting, the post had over 3.4k likes - no surprise there! Images of the massive, gorgeous snake astounded many people. Some people agreed with Mr Vembu that it was a lucky day. “Super,” remarked one user. I had no idea the Pothigai hills possessed King cobras.”

Auspicious or not, the king cobra's visit has got Twitter abuzz.
